Advancy Germany - Junior Consultant or Consultant (Full-time) in Frankfurt


The Junior Consultant or Consultant role is a first step in your consulting career and you will be part of our 250+ consultants that support large international corporations and private equity companies in tackling the challenges of development, growth and competitiveness.

You will start in our industrials team to immerse yourself in our different areas of end-market expertise like chemicals, pharma, life science, construction,... . Your contribution will be highly valued, and after initial training you will immediately be involved in a project. Working hand-in-hand with the client and with your team will be a critical component of your daily job. Our boutique size will enable you to develop your skills and take on responsibilities while benefiting from the support and the expertise of our seasoned consultants. During your first year you will be expected to:

  • Work in a team of 4-6 consultants , owning a part of the project
  • Carry out supporting detailed analysis of client problems including market and financial modelling, driver tree analysis, competitive landscape assessments amongst others
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative data through desk research, and then assisting with presenting the findings to the client
  • Conduct expert interviews
  • Produce clear and concise slide outputs
  • Help to coach new joiners in their own development
  • Support with activities to enable the growth of the Frankfurt team, including HR, events, business development

Job requirements


Across our offices we employ a team of highly skilled people. We all share some similar traits - we help each other, we are supportive, hard-working, and determined. To succeed and get the most of your experience as a strategy consultant you will be:

  • Rigorous and well-structured
  • Economic or technical background (engineering, chemistry, pharma, physics, biology or comparable)
  • Successful with an excellent graduate degree from a top university (Master, MBA, PhD, etc.)
  • Motivated and ambitious, willing to work hard and help out in the team
  • Outstanding in numeracy, written and verbal skills
  • Great in analytical and synthetic thinking
  • Great team player
  • Language requirements: fluent in German and English to be able to communicate complex topics effectively, both verbally and in writing (native or at least C1)
  • Well-trained in Powerpoint and Excel
  • Humorous with a keen sense of humour
  • Ideally having conducted internships in strategy consulting or investment banking
